Arda Söylev completed his PhD in computer science at Bilkent University in 2018, where he developed algorithms on structural variation discovery with Dr. Can Alkan in Bioinformatics and Computational Genomics Group. Prior to joining Marschall Lab in August 2022, he worked on genotyping structural variations using ancient DNA with Dr. Mehmet Somel at Middle East Technical University. He also worked on pangenome graphs with microbiome at the University of Chicago in Meren Lab.
